NightCut is a creative club in Lisbon, Portugal. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit this website or reserve a seat. For anything privacy-related, write to us at nightcut.club@gmail.com.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see what brings people to the table. It sets no cookies, stores no identifiers on your device, and never builds a profile of you — it counts page views, referring sites, countries and a couple of anonymous events (opening the reservation form, sending it).
Alongside it, Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast this site actually loaded for you — loading, layout-stability and responsiveness timings — so we can fix what's slow. Also cookie-less, and tied to no identifier for you.
We also run Umami, a privacy-first analytics service, for the same counting. It sets no cookies either, collects no personal data, and records only aggregate visit data — page, referrer, country, browser.
We advertise NightCut on Instagram and Facebook. To see which of those ads actually fill seats, this site runs the Meta Pixel, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It records that you viewed this page, opened the reservation form, or completed a reservation, and reports that back to Meta. Meta may use it to measure our ads and to show you NightCut ads later.
The Pixel stores these cookies in your browser:
_fbp — identifies your browser across visits (expires after 90 days)_fbc — records which ad brought you here, when you arrive from one (expires after 90 days)When you complete a reservation, our server also sends Meta the same event through the Conversions API, so the reservation is counted once even if the Pixel is blocked in your browser. Your email and name are hashed (SHA-256) before they are sent — Meta uses the hashes only to match the event to an existing account, and we never send the plain values. Alongside it go your IP address and browser user-agent.
Our legal basis is legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Meta acts as an independent controller for what it does with the data afterwards — see Meta's privacy policy. You can object to this at any time by writing to us, and set up the opt-outs below.
Nothing here is required for the site to work — you can switch the Pixel off entirely and reserve a seat exactly as before:
Reserving a seat means filling in a short form with your name and email (and how many seats you'd like), and confirming you understand the €80-per-seat price. We never ask for or store payment or card details on this website — payment is collected in person when you arrive.
Submitting the form sends two emails through Resend, our email-delivery provider: a confirmation to you, and a notification to us so we know to follow up. Resend processes your name and email solely to deliver those emails. See Resend's privacy policy.
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD). Just write to nightcut.club@gmail.com — we're a small club, a human will answer.
